Question 1

Where are you located?

Accepted Answer

Flex Auto Care Studio is located at 1200 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena CA 91106. We serve Pasadena, San Marino, Arcadia, the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County and greater Southern California.

Question 2

Do I need an appointment?

Accepted Answer

Appointments are highly encouraged due to high demand and ensure your vehicle receives priority service, but Flex is not appointment-only — walk-ins are welcome whenever the studio is open.

Question 3

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Cash and all major credit and debit cards. Certified funds and ACH are accepted for larger multi-day projects. A deposit may be required for extended services.

Question 4

Do you offer aftercare guidance?

Accepted Answer

Every protective service includes a written care guide and an aftercare consultation when the vehicle is returned.

Question 5

What is the difference between PPF, ceramic coating and window tint?

Accepted Answer

PPF is a physical urethane film that absorbs rock chips and abrasions. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that resists chemical staining, UV and water spotting. Window tint blocks heat, UV and glare through the glass. They are complementary, and many clients pair PPF and ceramic on the same vehicle.

Question 6

Do you service Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Cybertruck and Rivian?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EV protection is a large share of our work. We offer PPF, ceramic coating, detailing and window-film options for Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Model X, Cybertruck, Rivian R1S and R1T, and Lucid Air.

Question 7

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Warranty coverage depends on the service and material selected. PPF installations carry the applicable manufacturer warranty, ceramic coating packages offer protection up to 5 years, 3M window films carry the applicable 3M manufacturer warranty, and WPF carries a 1-year warranty. Details are provided in writing at delivery.

Question 8

What is the difference between Flex Signature and Flex Executive?

Accepted Answer

Flex Signature is an express maintenance wash. Flex Executive Detailing is a full preparation and is the recommended starting point for any vehicle new to the studio.

Question 9

How often should I have my vehicle detailed?

Accepted Answer

Most clients schedule a Flex Signature every two to four weeks and a Flex Executive once or twice per year.

Question 10

Will PPF turn yellow over time?

Accepted Answer

Modern urethane films with fluorinated topcoats are formulated to resist UV yellowing. We install only first-quality material that carries a manufacturer warranty against discoloration.

Question 11

How long does PPF last?

Accepted Answer

Expect seven to ten years depending on climate, driving environment and care.

Question 12

Can the film be removed without damaging the paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when installed correctly and removed before the warranty period ends.

Question 13

Why do you use Gtechniq products?

Accepted Answer

We use Gtechniq ceramic coating products as part of our professional detailing services. We are independent installers using premium Gtechniq products — not an approved or authorized Gtechniq dealer.

Question 14

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Accepted Answer

Our ceramic coating packages offer protection up to 5 years, depending on the tier, preparation and after-care.

Question 15

Will window tint affect cameras, sensors or signals?

Accepted Answer

No. The 3M films we install — Obsidian, Color Stable and Ceramic IR — are non-metalized, so cameras, GPS, cellular, keyless entry and ADAS sensors work exactly as intended.

Question 16

What credentials does Flex hold?

Accepted Answer

Flex Auto Care Studio is a 3M Authorized Dealer. We install first-quality films from 3M, XPEL, STEK and Avery Dennison, and use premium Gtechniq ceramic coating products as independent installers.

Question 17

What is Windshield Protection Film (WPF)?

Accepted Answer

Windshield Protection Film is an optically clear film installed on the windshield to help protect the glass from cracking or breaking due to flying road debris such as gravel and stones. We install film manufactured by Induction Films & Coatings, and it carries a 1-year warranty.

Question 18

Does windshield protection film affect ADAS systems?

Accepted Answer

Contact your vehicle manufacturer to verify that adding windshield protection film does not interfere with ADAS or onboard systems such as anti-collision, lane departure or autopilot. The film is also temporary in nature — the manufacturer advises removing it as soon as visibility is compromised.

Question 19

What is Paintless Dent Repair?

Accepted Answer

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is a specialized technique for reshaping damaged sheet metal from behind the panel, when access and paint condition allow, without sanding, body filler or repainting. The goal is to restore the panel's original contour while keeping the factory finish intact.

Question 20

Can you repair a door ding without repainting the panel?

Accepted Answer

Many door dings can be corrected without repainting when the paint is unbroken and the panel can be accessed appropriately. We inspect the ding first and tell you honestly whether PDR is the right method.

Question 21

Does PDR preserve the original factory paint?

Accepted Answer

That is the entire purpose of the process. When a dent qualifies for PDR, the original paint stays on the car — nothing is sanded, filled or resprayed. If the paint is cracked or already broken, PDR alone will not restore the finish.

Question 22

Can you repair dents on luxury and exotic vehicles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We evaluate every vehicle individually, from daily drivers to exotic and collector cars. Preserving original paint is often especially important on these vehicles, which is why careful assessment comes before any work begins.

Question 23

Can you repair Tesla dents with PDR?

Accepted Answer

Teslas are frequently evaluated for PDR at the studio. As with any vehicle, suitability depends on the dent's size, depth, location and how the panel can be accessed — not on the badge.

Question 24

Can you repair aluminum panels?

Accepted Answer

Aluminum can sometimes be repaired with PDR, but it behaves differently from steel: it has less memory and demands more patience and technique. We assess aluminum panels case by case and will tell you if conventional repair is the better path.

Question 25

How do I know if my dent qualifies for PDR?

Accepted Answer

The reliable answer comes from seeing the panel. Suitability depends on size, depth, location, access behind the panel, the condition of the paint and whether the metal has been stretched. Bring the vehicle to the studio, or text photos for an initial assessment.

Question 26

How much does Paintless Dent Repair cost?

Accepted Answer

PDR is priced by consultation because every dent is different. Size, depth, location, access and complexity all affect the work involved, so we quote after inspecting the panel rather than publishing a flat price.

Question 27

Do I need an appointment for a PDR estimate?

Accepted Answer

Appointments are strongly encouraged due to high demand, but Flex Auto Care Studio is not appointment-only — walk-ins are welcome during studio hours.

Question 28

Can I text photos of my dent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Text photos of the damage to 626 244 7155 and our team can provide an initial assessment. Final pricing and repair suitability may still require an in-person inspection.
